WARTHOG TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

ELECTRICAL:
Power Supply: 220V (ignore the word "variac" to the left of the AC symbol.  It's a mistake & will be removed in the next revision)
Toroid:  22" dia tube, 5.5 ft OD
Secondary:  19" dia, 14 AWG, 59.5" Winding Length, (900T, 1.8mH / inch)
Primary: 10.5T, 5/8 copper tubing, 1.25" centers
Static Gap:  4 x 0.050", ~2" dia copper pipe
Rotary Gap:  500 - 600 breaks/second
C1: large motor run capacitor
C2: 1nF, 80KV ( actually (4) 4nF, 20KV caps in series, placed directly across the HV output of the distribution transformer)
C3 - C6:  Labels read "0.0204 uF, 28KV, 800pps, GE Capacitor Network, Hudson Falls NY, CAT 17F314"
Total C = 0.0816 uF  (capacitors were salvaged from a Linear Accelerator at UT Arlington)
Distribution Transformer:  10KVA, 14.4 KV
L1:  2.4mH, air core choke wound with really heavy magnet wire.  Link to picture of Warthog Power Controller.
R1:  0.3 of NiChrome wire typically found in electric clothes dryer elements
Variac Stack:  3 wired in parallel (no paralleling chokes).  Each variac rated for 560V, 30A.  Wired to provide 100% of input voltage.
RF Choke:  about 30T of 1500V test probe wire wound around a ~2" ferrite torus
Ground Rods:  It is true that there is no wire between the GND end of the distribution transformer and the GND end of the primary capacitors.  Each connection goes to seperate ground rods.  Each ground rod is a copper plated steel rod with a salt bath around the top.

CLEARANCES:
Top of toroid to roof = 5.5 ft
Side of toroid to walls = 7 ft
Side of toroid to door = 12 ft
Bottom of toroid to floor = 64 in
Primary is 15 degree conical form and the first turn of the primary is about even with the first turn of the secondary

Measured F(res) = 56 khz

Operating parameters (typical)
220 V,  50 A, 12 FT ARCS, 5 minute run times with no overheating

I didn't have exact measurements on everything so I guessed at some numbers.
The guesses are "in the ballpark" but need to be refined for more accurate predictions...
