What can we do with a MOT stack?

Coiler Tim Johnson sent me this berserk photo of himself (well, his hand anyway) drawing a big, fat arc from his four-pack of stacked MOTS. That's right, he's got four MOTs wired in series for roughly 9600VAC at up to 6KVA! This is hard-core power for hobby-level coiling. If you want pole-pig power on a beer budget, this is the way to go. Nice power arc there Tim! I'd like to see this beast feeding a Jacob's Ladder. I bet you could use 1/2" copper pipe for the uprights!
