This is a picture of constant 18" arcs to a treaded rod fastened to a metal box which then was connected to the RF ground.

This is when i ran my coil with a 1/4" carage bolt thats 6" long on the side for a breakout point.
This is when i ran my coil with a 1/4" carage bolt thats 6" long on the top.
Another with a 1/4" carage bolt thats 6" long on the top.
This a run with the ground rod 22" away! You can see two faint arcs.
