Circuit

As the DC flyback described on the page before, this circuit was designed and buildt for me by a coiling friend from France (many thanks again, Peter!). The circuit drives the coil (approx. 80-300kHz) at its base, magnifier like. It is NOT 'cw' but runs in 'burst mode' (long sparks at low average power).

Experiments / max. arcs

• the circuit achieved 30cm arcs from an 8"-coil in France - hopefully it will do so in Germany again ;-)
