Pupil lets lightnings suck - and becomes awarded

Tobias Mittrach (left) and Sandro Koch, pupils from Melanchthon High School, collected awards on the fourth youth forum for science and technics.

Tobias shows his experimental contructions. His so called Jacobs ladder express the power of electrical energy with its lightnings and the flame effects.

For his work he got the award from the `VDE´ (associatio of the German eletric engineers).

Sandro presents an experiment to measure the light intensity with the help of a graphical pocket calculator. He owns the award from the minister for culture and education.
