Hi Paul, Whwew!! busy night... But I still got the Q data ;-)) Using plan wave antennas on the floor about 2 feet from the coil (should not have hurt anything) and not minding the secondary catching a little rain last night ;-)) Bare coil: Fo 15.0 mV RMS 148.61kHz low 10.6mV RMS 146.6 kHz high 10.6mV RMS 150.4 kHz 45 inch high top toroid: Fo 18.9mV RMS 98.143 kHz low 13.36mV RMS 96.939 kHz high 13.36mV RMS 99.111kHz Using the Fo/bandwidth thing... Bare Q = 148.61 / (150.4 - 146.6) = 39.1 Top 45 inch high: Q = 98.143 / (99.111 - 96.939) = 36.1 I have not had time to absorb your latest mails, but tomorrow... Cheers, Terry
