Subject: [TSSP] Q correction - NSVPI - Latter Results
Hi All, A correction... >I measured the Q of my coil using the Q=Fo/BW formula and based that on the >measured RMS input current. The Q was 59.25 (146.34 / (147.61-145.14)). > >With an input voltage of 0.6606 RMS, I would expect the top voltage to be: >0.6606 x 1.414 x 59.25 = 55.35 volts. > >The sum I measured is 69.72 volts. I don't trust the method I used above and I remembered my coil really has a Q around 70. I remeasured the Q with an antenna and scope. And got a Q of 67.47. That is incredibly close to the 69.72 volts the profile test gave! Cheers, Terry
