In case you haven't heard about it, Marco Denicolai's expts
are starting to bring in some useful results. You might care to visit
his page of recent measurements. Note in particular the linear
envelope in his "no-breakout" oscillogram. I have already emailed him
to suggest that his primary could use some improvement. His page is

There is also a puzzle in there we might address at some stage,
namely the missing gap fires *apparently* with increasing electrode
temperature.
