P.S. - the radius of the cold streamers is about what you'd see from coalesced ones under the same operating conditions. I observed all thsi single shot. Optical persistence in the eyes might make it difficult to see this with the gap running repetitively. Certainly I've never seen it under those conditions but then I never had the gap masked off either. In effect, it amounts to a current distribution function in the air surrounding the terminal if you get what I mean. Regards, malcolm
