Hi Terry.

Yawn! Why do I always seem to get up at the crack of dawn
on a Sunday - Oh, I remember - It's my favourite day!!

It looks great! This ought to work really well, and should
produce results on a par with your NSVPI success.

Ah, I see. You plan to move a resistor along the coil and ping
the coil at each position. Ok, that ought to work reasonably
well now that we have an accurate Q measurement method...

Select a single resistor which roughly halves the
Q factor.

> It is all ready to go.

Yup, and the program is about ready too. Here is the output
for 3-23 raw:

PEAK FREQUENCY Q FACTOR AMPLITUDE
 1 229931 kHz +/-0.01%,11 Hz 463.32 +/-4.53%,21.0 98.0% -0.2dB
 2 578079 kHz +/-0.02%,96 Hz 183.92 +/-1.65%,3.0 13.9% -17.1dB
Reconstituted 99.0% of input signal

and from 3-23 avg-16:

The Q factor of this coil is phenomenal! Would make a fantastic
CW coil!!

PEAK FREQUENCY Q FACTOR AMPLITUDE
 1 229931 kHz +/-0.01%,11 Hz 462.74 +/-4.53%,21.0 98.3% -0.1dB
 2 578117 kHz +/-0.02%,96 Hz 184.17 +/-0.29%,0.5 13.8% -17.2dB
Reconstituted 99.2% of input signal

I'll model the coil today and send the results along later - I guess
you're heading for bed now?
