My apologies for missing your previous comment about the
broken meter.  I asked about the current, because I was going
to apply a rough rule of thumb to calc the bang size.  This was
before you did the gap-voltage test, which is probably more 
accurate than my calcs would have been.  I would
have had to make some assumptions about ballast adjustment
and losses.  I know that ballasts can introduce tremendous losses
in some cases.  I used a variac as a ballast one time, and it
doubled the input power for the same streamers length.

Bart, What's the input current and voltage before the ballast, or into the
variac?  And what's the breakrate?  It sounds from your comments

Input current is unknown (as mentioned, the current meter died. I have to replace it). Voltage across the voltage variac is 240. I allowed 180V out the tap for the test. The breakrate on the SRSG is 240bps. The ball gap test was simply allowed to arc, not run. My SRSG can easily be configured for 60, 120, 180, 240, 300, and 360 bps simply by adding or removing electrodes (one set screw and the electrodes are out or in), so I can set up for 120 bps as per your other post.
