I found the modes by inserting the signal between ground and system with the gap shorted (everything connected). I think last time I input the signal across the cap which obviously was not right. These came up right away: Calc: Meas: 59.9 59.1 72.4 71.4 235.4 237 367.1 356 John wrote: > Bart, do you have any sort of corona > ring type object directly above the secondary winding which > could be promoting the full length racing sparks? Quick update: Tonight was beginning to start the tuning process, however, my parents came by (unannounced) and decided they would stay over until tomorrow. So it goes a little hindered. However, before tuning, I decided to measure the primary from turn 1 all the way out in increments of 0.5 and take inductance readings at each point. I will post this data later. Anyway, I'll make better progress tomorrow after my folks go home. Take care, Bart --Boundary_(ID_VoqyUuTDhmhtEX9xPIr19Q) Content-type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Hi All,Paul, I rescoped the coupled modes.
